How to share your Bolt Action army list
An army list is only useful if someone else can read it at a glance. Use the same layout every time and include the details that change how a unit plays.
What to include for each unit
- Unit name as it appears in the army book.
- Experience: Inexperienced, Regular or Veteran.
- Models and weapons: how many men, and any light machine guns, SMGs, anti-tank weapons and so on.
- Upgrades and special rules you paid for.
- Points for the unit.
What to include for the whole list
- Nation and army book used, and any theatre selector.
- Total points and total order dice.
- Edition (Third Edition lists differ from older ones).
Example layout
[Nation] – [Selector], [Total] pts, [Dice] order dice HQ [Officer], [Experience], [extras] – [pts] Infantry [Squad], [Experience], [men], [weapons] – [pts] [Squad], [Experience], [men], [weapons] – [pts] Support [Team / gun], [Experience] – [pts] Vehicles [Vehicle], [Experience] – [pts]
The layout above is a blank format. Fill it in from your own army book.
Tools
Online list builders can export lists in this kind of format. Whatever you use, check the points against your current army book before you post.
Building the list for real
Once your list is set, you can find most of the kits in our Bolt Action range, sorted by nation: US, British, German, Soviet and Japanese.
